Russian state-controlled oil
and gas company Zarubezhneft is planning to build two petrol stations, a motel
and restaurants on the Banja Luka-Gradiska motorway in Bosnia’s Serb Republic,
local media reported on Tuesday.
Zarubezhneft is one of several Russian companies interested in investing in the
Serb Republic, news agency Srna reported, quoting the head of the entity’s
representative office in Moscow Dusko Perovic following a visit of the
president of the Serb Republic Milorad Dodik to Russia.
Perovic added that a group of companies from St. Petersburg will visit the
capital of the Serb Republic, Banja Luka, in mid-July in order to make
arrangements for economic cooperation with the entity’s firms, particularly
those involved in food and textile production.
Zarubezhneft, through its subsidiary Neftegazinkor, owns majority stakes in
several Bosnian companies including oil refinery Rafinerija Nafte Brod, its
peer Rafinerija Ulja Modrica andfuel retailer Nestro Petrol.
