Vestas Receives 50 MW Order in China

Danish wind energy company Vestas received a 50-megawatt wind turbine order in China, the company announced on Wednesday.

Delivery of the order, which was received for the 50 megawatt Xuanhuihe project in Yanshan county of northern China’s Hebei province, is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The order was placed by Chinese energy company Sinojit, a leading Chinese group of research, development and production of large-scale wind turbine castings.

With Wednesday's announcements, Vestas has reached around 475 MW of orders from China in 2017.

"We have established in-depth cooperation with Vestas over the past years, and we look forward to reinforcing this model of strategic partnership in the future to jointly contribute to the development of the global new energy industry for the shared vision of low-carbon and greener planet,” said Zhenhua Bao, President of Sinojit.
