Urgent Scale-up in Green Building Mega Projects Crucial, Consolidated Contractors Company Warns

An urgent, up-scaled investment in more green building mega projects is crucial for the construction industry and wider society, Consolidated Contractors Company has warned. A global leader in engineering and construction, CCC has urged fellow firms around the world to commit to scaling up their investment in green building mega projects in coming years.

The call comes as the company issues its latest Sustainability Report, reporting global revenue of $5+ billion, 1,000+ projects completed worldwide, with operations in 38 countries and a workforce of 182,000. CCC's President of Engineering and Construction, Samer Khoury, said there was an extensive need for more green building projects internationally.

"Across the MENA region, CCC has completed six certified green building projects, and we are currently managing nine major projects aiming for certification," Mr Khoury said.

"From a multipurpose hall in Qatar to the Abu DhabiInternational Airport Midfield Terminal Building, Opera Grand in Dubai, City Centre Almaza in Egyptand major mega projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia,Qatar, Kazakhstanand Palestine - we have seen outstanding results with a company-wide commitment to green projects.

"For the very near future, we see green building mega projects as a crucial construction investment globally."

CCC aligns its sustainability objectives and strategy with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). CCC's strategy includes the consistent effort to ensure business ethics, anti-corruption, anti-bribery policies and sustainable growth in all forms of its operations.
