Turkey's Petkim Sees 183% Surge in Net Profit in 2Q18

Petkim, Turkey's leading petrochemical producer, reported a 183 percent increase in its net profit to 356 million Turkish liras in the second quarter of 2018 compared to the first quarter, Petkim announced Thursday.

The company's net profit was around 439 million liras in the second quarter of 2017. Net sales of 2.3 billion liras were made in the same quarter while the utilization capacity rate of the company was 96 percent.

US$1 equals 5.42 Turkish liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
