Turkey's LPG Production Rises in February

Turkey refineries' liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production rose by 25.1 percent to around 65 thousand tons in February 2016, according to a report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released Tuesday.

LPG imports decreased by 1.5 percent to about 255 thousand tons compared to the same month last year, according to the report.

Turkey imports came from six different countries in February 2016 - Algeria, Russia, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Norway and Ukraine.

Turkey's LPG exports increased by 2 percent to about 28 thousand tons in February. Switzerland, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Egypt are among the countries which saw the largest LPG imports from Turkey, the report showed.

In Turkey, approximately 224.7 thousand tons of auto gas was sold over the same period in 2016. Additionally, 62.7 thousand tons of bottled LPG was sold to Turkish customers as well as over 10 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
