Turkey's Energy Xchange Ηits Record in Spot Gas Trade

Data on Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) trade volume for Tuesday's spot natural gas market hit a record high generating approximately 29 million Turkish liras since the energy stock exchange was established on Sept. 1 in 2018, EXIST data shows on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the total spot trade volume amounted to 20.99 million cubic meters, marking a volume rise of 854% over the previous day when 2.2 million cubic meter of natural gas was traded. Trade on Monday's natural gas market amounted to 3.20 million Turkish liras.

On July 27, 2018, EPIAS began to publish natural gas transmission data through its online transparency platform. It also started to share transport nomination, virtual trade, capacity, reserve, actualization and stock amounts, on a daily basis.
