Türkiye's Daily Power Consumption Down 0.24% on Nov. 10

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.24% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 846,486 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 40,083 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 28,432 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 829,507 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.54% compared to Wednesday.

Imported coal plants contributed 28.6% of total generation, while natural gas plants and lignite plants contributed 26.5% and 14%, respectively.

On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,030 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 26,077 megawatt-hours.
