South East Europe Energy Outlook 2021/2022 has just been published - Presented at the Athens Exchange

Following two years of intensive preparation and research, this major IENE study, the “South East Europe Energy Outlook 2021/2022”, has been completed. The publication, released both in printed and digital form, consists of 15 chapters and 1,402 pages. The Study was presented for the first time in a special event held at the Athens Exchange on Tuesday, March 1, with the backing of the Hellenic Energy Exchange (ENEX).

Following two years of intensive preparation and research, this major IENE study, the “South East Europe Energy Outlook 2021/2022”, has been completed. The publication, released both in printed and digital form, consists of 15 chapters and 1,402 pages. The Study was presented for the first time in a special event held at the Athens Exchange on Tuesday, March 1, with the backing of the Hellenic Energy Exchange (ENEX). The event was attended by leading players of the energy sector and senior executives from major energy groups in Greece. More information about the Study’s presentation may be found here.

This basic reference study was first published by IENE in 2011 while in 2017 the second edition followed, and now the third edition (2022) was published enriched with all latest data.

In addition to IENE’s inhouse research team, 25 experts from all different countries in SEE contributed in the Outlook study by preparing Country Profiles and sectorial analysis. Furthermore, the study was reviewed by a team of 20 internationally recognized authorities who acted as peer reviewers.

Following the event at the Athens Exchange, a series of roadshows are now planned in various capitals in the region where the “Outlook” study will be presented to selected audiences (e.g. in Sofia, Istanbul, Belgrade, Tirana, Vienna, London, Bucharest etc.). The first such presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8th in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This latest IENE study was financially supported by a group of 16 companies and organizations from Greece and other countries in SE Europe. The main sponsor of the study (Lead Sponsor) is Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE), while the sponsors (Sponsors) include the companies: Hellenic Energy Exchange (ENEX), IPTO, DEPA, EPIAS (Turkey) and Elpedison.
