Slovenia's Petrol Increases Net Profit by 15% in 1Q17

Slovenia's largest energy company Petrol's net profit increased by 15 percent to €16.1 in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016, the company announced on Friday.

Petrol said that it also generated the adjusted gross profit of €92.5 million, an 8 percent increase on the same period of 2016.

The main reason of increase at profit was Petrol's sales. The company said that its sale of oil products increased by 6 percent and electricity sales increased by 61 percent in the first three months of 2017.

"The Petrol Group will continue with its active sales policy, optimisation of all business processes and efficient risk management. The achieved results show that the group is successful in pursuing its goals," said the company.
