Siemens Romania Plans to Modernize Factory in Sibiu

Siemens Romania will modernize by the next summer its Sykatec factory in Sibiu, which produces electrical components and special cables, said George Costache, company’s general director.

Siemens currently has four plants in Romania, three of them are in Sibiu, whereas one is located in Buzias.

The investment in the Sykatec factory will exceed EUR 3 million, said Costache, cited by local Ziarul Financiar. However, he didn’t give any precise figure.

The company also has in Romania two research & development centers in Brasov and Cluj-Napoca and one in Bucharest, specialized in the oil & gas sector. The number of employees amounts to almost 1,600.
