Siemens G. to Supply Denmark's Thorup-Sletten Wind Farm

Siemens Gamesa agreed with Denmark's leading developer and operator of wind turbines, Eurowind Energy, to supply 18 onshore turbines for Denmark's largest onshore wind farm, Siemens Gamesa said in a statement on Friday.

The turbines for the Thorup-Sletten wind farm in the northwest of Aggersund will have a total capacity of 77 megawatts (MW) with electricity production equivalent to the average annual consumption of approximately 65,000 households. Installation will begin in October and Siemens Gamesa will also maintain the wind farm for 20 years through a long-term service agreement.
