Serbia's Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic met with
Ambassador of Qatar to Serbia Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani, who
conveyed his personal wish, as well as of the government of Qatar, to
improve the overall economic relations between the two countries,
especially in the fields of energy and mining, where he sees
considerable opportunities.A statement by the Ministry of Mining and
Energy says that the Ambassador of Qatar informed Minister Antic about
the agreements that have already been signed and those that are in the
process of negotiation, such as the Agreement on economic cooperation
between the two governments, and on the abolition of visas for
diplomatic and official passports.
To that end, the Ambassador of
Qatar asked the Minister of Energy and Mining that the Serbian side
forwards its Draft agreement on cooperation between the Serbian Ministry
of Mining and Energy and the Qatari Ministry of Energy.
He also
invited Minister Antic on his own behalf and that of the Qatari Minister
of Energy to visit Qatar, when the agreement in question could be
signed.

between the two ministries is a basis for defining joint projects for
future cooperation, as well as for investments of the interested Qatari
financial institutions and the implementation of projects of common
interest in the fields of energy and mining.
