Save the Date: IENE's “Energy and Development 2024” Conference to be Held in Athens on November 6-7

IENE's annual milestone event, the National Energy Conference "Energy & Development" this year will be held on November 6&7, at the “OTE Academy” in Athens. Covering a diverse range of topics at the forefront of the global and regional energy agenda, "Energy & Development 2024", now in its 28th edition, is expected to attract a large number of participants including senior executives and government officials from Greece and abroad

IENE's annual milestone event, the National Energy Conference "Energy & Development" this year will be held on November 6&7, at the “OTE Academy” in Athens. Covering a diverse range of topics at the forefront of the global and regional energy agenda, "Energy & Development 2024", now in its 28th edition, is expected to attract a large number of participants including senior executives and government officials from Greece and abroad.

More than 45 speakers have already confirmed their participation in this year's IENE's National Energy Conference "Energy & Development". These include many senior executives from major energy companies and organizations in Greece and abroad, as well as academics, scientists from major research centers, representatives of international organizations and well-known stakeholders. Moreover, established experts and analysts are going to provide their perspective on highly topical energy matters.

As it has become customary in recent years, the International Energy Agency's flagship publication, the World Energy Outlook 2024, will be presented at the conference. To be followed by a panel discussion, where recognized experts will analyze and comment on IEA's findings. This year's edition of the International Energy Agency’s benchmark report will underline the key role of energy efficiency in energy transition and will also analyse the crucial factor of energy security.

Another interesting topic to be discussed in this year's "Energy & Development" conference is the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in energy, both in terms of studies, analyses and modelling, but also in industry and in the implementation of major energy projects,

Several prominent companies from the energy and services sectors have already confirmed their support for this major event. IENE's "Energy and Development" of 2024 is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Development, the Regulatory Authority for Waste, Energy and Water and the International Energy Agency (IEA).
