Russian Companies Beat Arctic Offshore Commitments in 6 YEARS

Russian oil and gas companies exceeded twice their commitments under Arctic offshore licenses in six year, head of the Federal Agency on Subsoil Use Evgeny Kiselev said on Monday.

"[These] were exceeded two times," the official said referring to overall commitments of all subsoil users.

Russia’s offshore oil production totaled 18.8 mln tonnes in 2015, including 16 mln tonnes in the Sea of Okhotsk. 800,000 tonnes of oil were produced at Prirazlomnoe field in theArctic.
