Romania’s Electricity Exports Reached EUR 360 Mln in 2015

Romania’s electricity exports totaled EUR 360 million last year, according to the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity.

The energy produced in Romania accounted for 12% of Bulgaria’s consumption, 6% of the consumption in Serbia, and 3% of that in Hungary, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

Romania exported 9.8 TWh worth of energy last year, down almost 5% compared to 2014.

It sent some 4.1 TWh to Bulgaria, almost 3% less compared to 2014, which was worth EUR 150 million. The exports to Serbia dropped by 16% whereas the exports to Hungary increased by 7%.
