Reorganization of IENE’s website, easier to trace information

A number of changes have taken place in the organization and content of IENE’s website www.iene.eu, so that users may trace much easier the information they are looking for.

Hence, in the “About Us” category a number of new sub-categories have been introduced, which explain more clearly what the Institute is doing, how it is organized and who is doing what. An entirely new category headed as “Team” has been added where the entire group of researchers, associates and staff of the Institute are listed. Full time researchers are grouped under Research Fellows, outside consultants are grouped under Research Associates and  Visiting Research Fellows and a last category includes Distinguished Fellows – people who have contributed actively on many occasions in IENE studies but also in conferences, workshops, seminars convened by the Institute, etc. Also, a full list of the current Administrative Staff has been included.

Furthermore, a full reorganization of IENE Publications has been undertaken and these have been grouped under clearly identifiable headings. Another important feature is the inclusion of IENE’s research work under the “Programmes” category. Introduction of this new category became necessary following IENE’s growing involvement in research and studies and the need of well-defined programmes. This is in line with the way that other institutes have organized their work (e.g. Oxford Institute of Energy Studies). This new arrangement reflects the current research and study related activities of the Institute, based on actual assignments and staffing of projects. Consequently, a number of main and secondary programmes have been introduced.
