Putin Appoints New Head of Rosatom

Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexei Likhachev as the new head of Russian state atomic energy company, Rosatom, on Wednesday.

Sergei Kiriyenko was the previous head of Rosatom. On the same day Putin also appointed Kiriyenko as first deputy chief of staff of the presidential executive office, according to Kremlin press office.

Last year Likhachev, served as deputy minister of the Russian Economic Development Minister.

Rosatom is a state corporation in Russia and established in 2007, that also will built Turkey's first nuclear power plant at Akkuyu.
