The four sessions of the conference will focus on the following subjects:

- The role of gas in European energy security

- Gas pricing and the European gas industry

- New gas supply sources and transit routes (Current and potential gas supply sources for Europe - gas supply security considerations - CHP outlook in SE Europe)

- The role of gas infrastructure (gas transmission systems, gas storage and LNG) in European energy security

Overall, the purpose of the conference will be to review progress so far and to analyse the impact that specific gas transit projects are going to have on the economies of the region and how these may in the long run affect European energy supply. The meeting will further focus on gas market integration, the uninterrupted flow of gas across borders, the development and operation of new gas transit corridors and gas trading hubs and how these could help further improve the security of gas supply.

The lead conference sponsor is Greece’s Public Gas Corporation (DEPA), while media partners include the Energia.gr and See News portals as well as the New Europe Newspaper.
