The government of Montenegro said it expects the country to
post an average annual economic growth of 3.6% by 2018, down from the previous
projection of 3.8%.
The projection for the country’s economic growth in
2014 was affirmed at 2%, the government said in a statement on Thursday,
following the adoption of the three-year macroeconomic and fiscal policy
guidelines.
The government said earlier it expects Montenegro’s economy
to expand by 3.5% in 2015.
In the third quarter of 2014, Montenegro's
gross domestic product (GDP) rose by a real 1.3% on the year, compared to a
revised 4.1% increase a year earlier, according to preliminary data of the
statistics office.
In 2013, the Montenegrin economy expandedby a real
3.3%.
