UK-based mining and energy
group Mineco said its subsidiary Medos One has won a 50-year concession to
build and operate a 4 MW hydro power plant (HPP) on the Drinjaca river in
Bosnia.
The project, located near the city of Zvornik, will be developed over the next
two years, with the plant expected to go live in March 2017, Mineco said in a
statement.
On Wednesday, Bosnian news portal Indikator.ba reported that the annual
production of the HPP is seen at 13.5 GWh with project costs estimated at 7.5
million euro ($8.1 million).
Mineco operates three base metals mines in Southeaster Europe - Rudnik and
Veliki Majdan in Serbia as well as Gross in Bosnia.
