The Montenegrin
government said it has
approved transferring
the contract for the
lease of land and
construction of a 46 MW
wind farm to Malta's
Enemaltafrom a
consortium led by
Spain's Fersa Energias
Renovables.In 2010,
Montenegro signed with
the tie-up a contract
for a 20-year lease on
502,858 sq m of land, at
a price of 0.37 euro
($0.41) per sq m, for
the construction of
theMozura wind farm,
the government said in a
statement following a
weekly session on
Thursday.
Following the submission
of all necessary
documents by Enemalta,
the government said it
has approved the
transfer of the lease.
The timeline for the
construction of the wind
farm has been extended
from 18 months by an
additional 15 months due
to delays caused by the
lease transfer.
Back in 2010, the
planned annualoutput of
the wind farm was
announced at around 100
GWh with the required
investment estimated at
some 65 million euro.
Montenegro has no
installed wind power
capacity.
