IENE’s Weekly “ Electricity and Gas Analysis” Provides a Useful Insight on Energy Market Operation in SE Europe

Now in its 270th issue the Institute’s weekly analysis provides a comprehensive account of how the region’s electricity and gas markets function week in week out. Based on information available from the various European energy exchanges and company sources the IENE report informs on market movements, prices swings and energy between the various countries in the region.

The opening part of the Analysis focuses on the overall electricity demand in SEE markets which is followed by an insight on the contribution of variable renewables and the hydropower yield. The Analysis also provides latest data on thermal power generation and nuclear output per country. The cross-border electricity trade and cross country electricity flows is given due attention and complements our understanding of electricity market operation in the region. A geographical area which covers Italy,the West Balkans, Greece and the East Balkans,Hungary and Turkey.

The reporting on electricity markets is supplemented by a series of graphs depicting the electricity mix and consumption for the different countries, net electricity exports, electricity demand and scheduled net electricity flows in SEE , weekly average prices, hourly average prices etc.
