The detailed announcement for this new post at IENE is as follows. «The successful candidate will be primarily engaged in the monitoring and analysis of the region’s energy markets (oil, gas, electricity, renewables, emissions) and will also be required to supervise a team of researchers. The position is suitable for an energy professional who already has some experience in the energy sector and is prepared to work hard and learn as he or she will be involved with a number of diverse projects which the Institute is now carrying out in the region. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of energy professionals and initially will assist with the preparation of the Institute’s regular information feed and also undertake some basic analysis of regional energy flows.»
«This is a full-time appointment to be based at the Institute's headquarters in central Athens, with opportunities to travel in the region. The ideal candidate, who must have at least 5 years work experience, should have a first degree in engineering, physical sciences or economics and a master’s degree in a related discipline. A PhD in energy or in a related field is desirable (and will count as an asset) although not strictly necessary. Above all applicants must have a strong drive to learn, tenacity to work and contribute to the overall work and goals of the Institute which is currently undergoing an expansion of its activities.
