Bulgarian fuel retailer Petrol said its standalone net loss narrowed to 276,000 levs ($153,874/141,116 euro) in January-September from 4.3 million levs in the like period of 2023.
The company's operating revenue in the first nine months of 2024 went down to 394.5 million levs from 418.9 million levs a year earlier, Petrol said in an interim financial statement last week. Of that, sales of goods generated 381.3 million levs, compared to a little over 411 million levs in the prior-year period.
At the same time, overall expenses shrank to 394.7 million levs from 423.3 million levs as costs of goods sold dropped to 335.7 million levs from 372.1 million levs.
Petrol operates over 300 filling stations across Bulgaria and has 23 subsidiaries active in fuel trading and storage.
Shares in Petrol last traded on Monday when they closed at 0.85 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
