On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) is organizing a special event presenting its annual Report on "The Greek Energy Sector 2024" at the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE – TCG), in Athens. The Report, covering the entire spectrum of the Greek Energy Sector, is the 4th one published by the Institute, with similar reports released in 2019, 2020 and 2023. During the event, there will be a presentation of the Report by its contributors, while there will also be interventions by distinguished executives of the energy market.
The event, which will be held under the auspices and with the support of the Technical Chamber of Greece, will begin with introductory remarks by the President of TEE – TCG, Mr. Georgios Stasinos, and the Chairman and Executive Director of IENE, Mr. Costis Stambolis.
During the 1st session, the presentation of IENE’s annual Report on "The Greek Energy Sector 2024" will be made by Mr. Costis Stambolis, Mr. Konstantinos Theophylaktos, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Scientific Committee for Energy Efficiency of the Institute and Mr. Yannis Grigoriou, Vice-President of the Continental Europe Energy Council and Partner of IENE. The session will be moderated by the Deputy Chairman of IENE and Chairman of the Geopolitics Committee of the Institute, Mr. Christos Dimas.
The 2nd session will be moderated by Mr. Nicholas Sofianos, an IENE Partner and Chairman of the Renewable Energy Sources Committee. Presentations will be contributed by important players of Greece’s energy market, namely Mr. Andreas Petropouleas, Director of Energy Management at ELPEDISON, Chairman of the Scientific Committee for Electricity of IENE, Dr. Nikolaos Liapis, Chairman of IENE’s Downstream Committee, Dr. Nikolaos Koukouzas, Director of Research at the National Center for Research and Technological Development (EKETA) and Visiting Research Fellow of the Institute.
