With some delay, the latest issue of the “IENE News” newsletter has just been published and sent today to all members and associate of the Institute. As the restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the regular organization of IENE activities, this latest issue catches up the thread from Autumn/Winter 2021, when operations started slowly but steadily getting back to a kind of normalcy. A number of events, including seminars, conferences and webinars, have since been held and several research projects completed.

This latest “IENE News” refers to all activities carried out by the Institute during the period, starting from the 25th National Conference “Energy and Development”, in December 2021 to the Energy Storage Workshop held this September in Athens. The newsletter also informs on IENE’ participation and contribution in events organized by other Institutes or organizations in Greece and abroad, starting from the high-level meeting on energy security convened by the Institute’s partner in Bulgaria, Mr. Slavtcho Neykov, in Sofia, on October 14, 2021, to the “Flame” international conference held in Amsterdam last May.

There is also a plethora of information on IENE’s publications, as well as its participation in public consultations. Special reference is made to the completion and publication of the “SE Europe Energy Outlook 2021/2022”, IENE’s flagship publication, of no less than 1250 pages, which was released in March 2022, following two years of intense preparation with the involvement of 29 researchers and authors and some 15 peer reviewers.
