The programme of the 3rd Tirana Energy Forum, which IENE is organizing, in partnership with SEA Consulting, is now available. This established IENE event, which will take place on May 30th at Tirana, seeks once again to examine and discuss the current situation of Albania’s energy sector but also explore its growth potential including furthering of cooperation with the neighboring countries
Executives from all major Albanian energy companies and institutions, along with IENE experts, will take the floor.
The 1st Session of this year's Forum, which will commence with opening remarks by the organisers, will to provide an overview of the SEE Energy Sector and the important role that Albania plays, as well as of the key challenges the country is facing, concerning its overall energy outlook.
Albania's electricity infrastructure will be the focus of the event's 2nd Session. Experts from KESH, the country's Power Corporation, OST Sh. A. (Transmission System Operator of Albania) and Greece's Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) are included in the sessions' confirmed speakers.
In the 3rd Session, on electricity market regulation and operation, energy experts and institutions, as the Albanian Power Exchange (ALPEX) and PPC Albania Sh.A., are to be represented at the highest level.
Natural gas and energy efficiency, in the 4th Session, and hydrocarbon exploration and production, along with the domestic oil market, in the 5th Session, will be covered by top executives of energy firms with a distinguished role in the respective sectors in Albania, such as the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG and Bankers Petroleum Albania Ltd, as well as of the country's Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
The 3rd Tirana Energy Forum will conclude with a session on renewable energy sources with speakers from several associations and firms active in the field. After an open discussion and the concluding remarks by the organisers, all participants will be invited to join for a farewell reception.
The one-day event will take place at the Tirana International Hotel and is supported by major energy companies from Albania and Greece. HBAA is the Strategic Partner of the 3rd Tirana Energy Forum, while the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) of Greece and the EnSCo company participate as Supporters.
