Germany's Osram Starts Building 23 Mln Euro Plant in Bulgaria

Germany's light manufacturer Osram will launch on Tuesday the construction of a 45 million lev ($25.9 million/23 million euro) plant in Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv, the country's economy ministry said on Monday.

The plant is expected to be completed in 2017, creating 900 jobs, the ministry said in a statement.

Osram's portfolio includes various types of lamps, LED lamps for cars, lamps for special applications and lighting solutions.
