Gazprom Boosts Gas Production by 3.8% in Jan. 2019

Gazprom produced 47.4 billion cubic meters of gas in January 2019, an increase of 3.8 percent against the same period of 2018, the company said on Monday.

Gazprom shared the official information on the company's Twitter account explaining that this figure marks the largest amount of gas produced in January over the past five years, since 2015. The Russian company said the company's gas sales in the domestic market via the national gas transmission system added 4.3 percent, equivalent to 1.4 billion cubic meters.

In January 2019, Gazprom's gas deliveries to Europe amounted to an estimated 17.6 billion cubic meters, up by 1.6 percent from January 2018. Specifically, the company boosted its gas supplies to Italy by 109.8 percent, Austria by 25.5 percent, France by 17.9 percent, Finland by 20.4 percent and Denmark 21.8 percent.
