Croatia’s Ina Gets Exploration Permits for Two Blocks

Croatian oil and gas company Ina said on Friday that it was awarded permits for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in two exploration blocks - Sava-10/1 and Drava-02/02 - in an international tender.

The total planned investments in both exploration blocks amount to several tens of millions of euro, the company said in a press release.

Sava-10/1 block covers an area of 1,848 sq m across the Brod-Posavina, Osijek-Baranja, and predominantly Vukovar-Srijem counties in eastern Croatia. The Drava-02/02 block spans of 1,732 sq m and includes parts of the Koprivnica-Krizevci, Bjelovar-Bilogora and Virovitica-Podravina counties in the northeastern part of the country.

During the first exploratory phase, Ina will carry out 3D seismic surveys and drilling of exploration wells. Following the completion of the first exploration phase, the contract allows for its extension by two years.

Ina [ZSE:INA] shares last traded on Thursday on the Zagreb bourse, ending 2.97% lower at 490 euro.
