With less than a week now left for the annual SEE Energy Dialogue interest from companies, stake holders and energy professionals from all countries in the region is running high. With some 50 speakers, panelists and moderators having confirmed their participation and many more delegates attending in person and online, this year’s event promises to be one of the best attended in recent years
A very exciting programme has been announced which covers a number of pressing issues which will be hotly debated during this two-day colloquium.
The upcoming 15th SE Europe Energy Dialogue, scheduled for June 19/20 in Thessaloniki, will focus on the fast-changing regional energy markets, energy security and decarbonization, with special emphasis on the wider SE European and East Mediterranean region. The event will cover a variety of topics, including energy transition, electricity, hydrocarbons, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, hydrogen, geopolitics and energy security. Distinguished speakers, including senior executives from major energy companies, experts from all different energy branches, government officials and academics from the Western Balkans, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Israel, Cyprus, and Greece, as well as representatives from regional and international organizations and think tanks, are expected to participate in the event.
Energy security will once again be at the forefront of the debate concerning the safeguarding of oil and gas supplies and energy interconnections, in view of ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. The role of alternative gas supply routes, LNG shipments, cross border electricity and gas interconnections and electricity grid upgrades together with latest achievements in renewable energy, green fuels, nuclear power and CCUS applications will also be examined.
From the very start the “SEE Energy Dialogue” has been established by IENE as an important regional event spanning the entire energy spectrum and involving most countries in the region. The “SEE Energy Dialogue” has been conceived as an open forum for furthering the idea of a SE European energy bridge between East and West and North of South, and for promoting initiatives aimed at tackling the region's complex energy and environmental challenges. The objective being the free exchange of information and ideas, networking and the advancement of cooperation between all countries in SE Europe.
This year’s “Energy Dialogue” is being supported by major energy and services companies including HELLENiQ ENERGY, KG Law Firm, Motoroil, DESFA, Elpedison, EnSCo, SELeNe CC, Gastrade, HEREMA, and ZeniΘ.
