Serbia’s Energoprojekt Holding, said on Friday that one of its
units has landed a $12 million (10.9 million euro) contract in Serbia.
Under the contract signed with railway operator Zeleznice Srbije,
as investor, and a unit of Russia's RZD International, as main
contractor, Energoprojekt Niskogradnja, as a subcontractor, will
participate in the construction of the Sopot Kosmajski-Kovacevac, Mala
Krsna-Velika Plana and Golubinci-Ruma rail tracks, Energoprojekt said in
a statement.
The works on the railroad sections, with total length of 65.7 km,
will include reconstruction of the roadbed, construction of new
culverts, station platforms and approach tracks, relocation and
protection of cables and structures.
The project delivery deadline is December 2015.
In 2013, state-owned Zeleznice Srbije and RZD signed a contract for
works on the construction of railway infrastructure in the Balkan
country and supply of diesel trains which will be financed with an $800
million Russian state loan.
