EAEU Electricity Market is Planned to be Formed by 2019

The common electricity market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is planned to be established by 2019, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Khristenko said on Friday, commenting on the electricity market concept to be developed for the EAEU.

"The electric power industry is pioneering in some sense. This common market should start working by 2019," Khristenko said. The concept sets out goals and principles of the competitive market pricing and exact milestones of the market establishment, he added.
