Croatian Power Utility HEP Places $550 Mln Bond Due 2022

Croatian state-owned energy utility HEP said on Tuesday it has placed on the international markets a $550 million (484.6 million euro) bond due 2022 at 6.125%.

The joint arrangers on the debt issue, which carries an interest coupon of 5.875%, were Banca IMI S.p.A., UniCredit Bank AG, and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc., HEP said in a statement.

Earlier this month, HEP told SeeNews it had offered the holders of its bonds maturing on November 9, 2017, an option for early redemption.

The bonds were issued on November 9, 2012, in the total amount of $500 million at 6%.

HEP group owns and operates over 4,000 MW of installed generation capacity and 974 MW of heat production capacity, including 25 hydroelectric plants and eight thermal power plants fired by oil, natural gas or coal.
