Bulgarian mining complex Mini
Maritsa Iztok said on Wednesday it expects a total coal output of 27.35 million
tonnes in 2015.
The miner expects to excavate and transport 101.4 million cu m of earth this
year, Mini Maritsa Iztok said in a statement on its website.
In January alone, the miner's coal output stood at 3.32 million tonnes, which
exceeds its projections in the company's business plan by more than 127%. The
figures are a record for this time of year.
Mine Troyanovo-Sever generated the highest coal output last month of 1.26
million tonnes, followed by mine Troyanovo-3, where coal production stood at
1.1 million tonnes. The output of miner Troyanovo-1 in January exceeded 965,000
tonnes.
The mining complex, located in southern Bulgaria, is 100%-owned by
state-operated Bulgarian Energy Holding.
