Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borissov and European Council President Donald Tusk discussed key energy projects in Brussels, the Bulgarian government's press office said.
At the meeting, Mr Borisov required clear and unequivocal position on behalf of the European Commission (EC) and its services, regarding the construction of a gas distribution centre on the Balkans.
He also raised the issue about the coordination of the following actions of Bulgaria after the decision of the International Court of Arbitration in Geneva on the trade argument between Bulgaria's National Electricity Company (NEK) and Russia's Atomstroyexport over the cancellation of the Belene NPP project.
"Our concept of the gas hub is very good and it will be to the benefit of all countries in the region. However, we want to receive an assurance on behalf of the EC that it fully meets the requirements of the European legislation," Boyko Borisov said and called for speeding up the dialoguein the joint working group between Bulgaria and the EC on the issue.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister also emphasized uncertainty around the South Stream gas pipeline project and the expected position of Brussels on the Belene NPP project.
