350 MW Thermal Plant is to Be Established in Tekirdağ

The Kaptan thermal plant is planned within the borders of the district of Ergene in Tekirdağ, by Kaptan Demir Çelik End. ve Tic. A.Ş.. The Examination and Evaluation (IDK) meeting concerning the project is to be held on 23 March 2016.

A pulverised coal plant, which is comprised of a single unit and has an installed capacity of 350 MW, is planned within the scope of the project.The cost of the project was stated as 400 million TL in the EIA application file.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kaptan Demir Çelik End. ve Tic. A.Ş., which is a member of the Istanbul based Kaptan Group of companies, is Yaşar Kaptan Çebi.
