More challenges lie ahead of us, especially in the electricity sector where great efforts are required in order to achieve the competitiveness and the transformation of the electricity system to a more sustainable one, with RES penetration and with the large power interconnections, expanding the European Electricity network and the electricity market in general. Innovative technologies combined with skilled human resources and improved energy efficiency will pave the way to the future. IENE with its members becoming part of an ever bigger family will continue to strive in order to improve the quality of its work and the services offered to its members.
