IENE welcomes its three newest corporate members. These include NIS Gazprom Neft, Serbia’s leading national refining company, the Greek branch of URS Corp., an international engineering, construction, and technical services provider, and EnSCo SA (Hellas), the fully-owned subsidiary of the Swiss-based energy commodity trader EnSCo AG.

NIS (www.nis.eu) is one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies in Southeast Europe. Its basic business activities include exploration, production and processing of crude oil and gas, sale of a broad range of petroleum products, as well as the realization of a wide variety of energy projects.

NIS has two refineries, one in Pančevo and the other in Novi Sad, as well as a network of petrol stations in Serbia and in neighboring countries. EnSCo AG was established by energy market professionals and is participating in the major wholesale power markets in C/SEE. EnSCo’s initial stage of development was completed during 2013 when all necessary trading licenses were obtained and registration to the relevant power exchange markets took place. Furthermore, an operational centre was established in Greece to serve all EnSCo energy trade activities in C/SEE.

Through its own and its partners' networks EnSCo AG has uninhibited access to all the electricity transmission systems in the region.
