Monday, 27 April 2015

Serbian state-owned energy utility EPS has invited bids for a consultant on a feasibility study and concept design for a project for the construction of a wind park in the central town of Kostolac.

The bidding deadline is May 22, a document posted on EPS' website indicated.

In December, local media quoted EPS director general Aleksandar Obradovic as saying that the utility company is in talks with German development bank KfW on financing for wind and solar power plant projects in the Kostolac area.

Serbia has no installed wind power capacity.

EPS, which operated a total net output capacity of 7,124 MW at the end of 2014, recorded a 14.6% drop in power production to 31,963 GWh last year.
