The installed capacity of
Montenegrin thermal power plant (TPP) Pljevlja has increasedto 223 MW
from 190 MW thanks to two upgrades in the past three years, state-controlled
power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said in the June edition of its
corporate newsletter.
During this year’s 30-day annual maintenance the capacity of TPP Pljevlja was
upped by a 5 MW while keeping coal consumption unchanged, EPCG said.
TPP Pljevlja generated 410,000 MWh of electricity in the first quarter of 2015,
5.5% ahead of plan. The power station delivered 1,317 GWh of electricity to the
Montenegrin grid in 2014.
EPCG, which plans to raise output to 3,159 GWh this year from 3,036 GWh in
2014, operates around 870 MW of installed generation capacity. The company's
net profit rose 38% to 34.7 million euro ($39 million) in 2014.
