Lukoil Energy&Gas Romania will build a solar
park with an installed capacity of 9.0 megawatts
(MW) in southern Romania, Bucharest-based media
reported on Friday.
The solar park will be built near the
Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in Ploiesti, financial
daily Ziarul Financiar reported quoting unnamed
market sources.
The project is estimated to cost around 13.5
million euro ($18.5 million), the daily added.
The Romanian energy regulator, ANRE, awarded
Lukoil Energy&Gas Romania a permit to build a
solar park in the country at the end of last year.
In October, Lukoil said it planned to build solar
parks with a combined installed capacity of up to
12 megawatts (MW) at the Petrotel-Lukoil refinery.
Lukoil Energy&Gas Romania is part of Russian
oil group Lukoil.
